STARED CO. LTDA. values privacy, information security, and the protection of personal data processed in its commercial, technical, and operational activities.

This Privacy Policy aims to clearly and objectively inform how STARED collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal data in its relationship with customers, employees, suppliers, partners, and users of its systems, in compliance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law — LGPD, Law No. 13.709/2018.

The LGPD applies to the processing of personal data in physical or digital media, by natural persons or legal entities, public or private, with the purpose of protecting the fundamental rights of freedom and privacy.

1. Data that may be processed

In the course of its activities, STARED may process personal data such as:

  • full name, job title, professional phone number and email;
  • identification data of authorized users;
  • system access logs;
  • information necessary for technical support, installation, maintenance, and service;
  • data provided in forms, contracts, commercial proposals, service orders, and communications with the company.

The equipment and systems provided by STARED may generate technical, operational, and production data related to the operation of industrial lines, machines, sensors, scales, labelers, production-reporting systems, integration, and production control.

When such data is associated with an identified or identifiable natural person, it will be processed in accordance with the LGPD.

2. Purposes of processing

STARED may use personal data for the following purposes:

  • performance of contracts with customers;
  • installation, configuration, and maintenance of equipment and systems;
  • on-site or remote technical support;
  • system access control;
  • operational security and traceability of service calls;
  • issuance of proposals, invoices, service orders, and commercial documents;
  • communication with customers, suppliers, employees, and partners;
  • compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations;
  • improvement of products, services, and internal processes.

STARED’s processing of personal data observes the principles of purpose, necessity, transparency, security, prevention, and accountability set forth in the LGPD.

3. Remote access and technical support

Due to the nature of the services provided, STARED’s technical team may perform on-site or remote access to client environments, including industrial systems, servers, databases, PLCs, HMIs, weighing, labeling, automation, and integration equipment.

Such access is carried out exclusively for the purposes of installation, support, maintenance, diagnosis, updating, troubleshooting, or improvement of the contracted systems.

STARED instructs its employees to access only the information necessary to perform the service, maintaining confidentiality regarding data, industrial processes, commercial information, and any personal data that may be viewed during service.

4. Data sharing

STARED does not sell personal data.

Data sharing may occur only when necessary for:

  • performance of the contracted services;
  • compliance with legal obligations;
  • responding to requests from competent authorities;
  • operation of systems, hosting, technical support, or tools used by the company;
  • protection of the rights of STARED, its customers, or third parties.

Whenever applicable, STARED seeks to limit sharing to the minimum necessary and compatible with the purpose of the processing.

5. Information security

STARED adopts technical and administrative measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, improper disclosure, or misuse.

Among the practices adopted are internal guidelines for employees, access control, use of credentials, access restriction based on need, periodic training, and internal procedures related to confidentiality and data protection.

The ANPD (Brazilian National Data Protection Authority) recommends that privacy notices objectively inform how personal data is collected, used, stored, and shared.

6. Rights of data subjects

Data subjects may request, under the terms of the LGPD:

  • confirmation of the existence of processing;
  • access to personal data;
  • correction of incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data;
  • information about sharing;
  • anonymization, blocking, or deletion, where applicable;
  • withdrawal of consent, where processing is based on this basis;
  • other rights provided for in applicable legislation.
